Yesterday, we turned our attention to one of the defining challenges — and opportunities — facing Europe today: defence. 🇵🇹🇧🇪🇱🇺🇪🇺

Together with ESCALA Business Club, the CCBP hosted Portugal and the New Frontiers: Defence, Technology & Talent — the first step towards a broader Portuguese-Belgian-Luxembourg conference in 2027.

With Gonçalo Grade and Vasco Pereira da Silva, we explored the rapidly evolving European defence landscape, the growing importance of technology and dual-use capabilities, and the role that Portuguese companies, expertise and talent can play in this new environment.

The conversation went beyond defence itself, bringing together industry, innovation, technology, skills and international cooperation — and highlighting the opportunities that emerge when these different dimensions connect.

A special thank you to Raquel Sequeira from AICEP for closing the session and bringing together its key messages, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussion.

This was only the beginning. The conversation now continues towards 2027. 🚀
