Last Thursday, July 10ᵗʰ, the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce organized a Summer Aperitif in the center of Brussels, celebrating the arrival of this season and the beginning of the most recent stage for the institution, under the leadership of its new president, Kathleen Figueiredo Laissy.
The meeting was also an opportunity to pay tribute to three figures who have marked the Portuguese presence in Belgium in recent years and who are now preparing to conclude their missions: His Excellency Ambassador Jorge Cabral; Dr. Joana Estrela, Minister-Counsellor and Head of the Consular Section; and Dr. Luísa Dutra, Assistant to the Coordinator of Portuguese Teaching in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Special thanks to these three personalities for all their hard work and dedication, to the host Duarte Mira for helping us organize the event, to Ana Campos (My Portuguese Friends) and Patrícia Marques (The SolAr) for sharing the best of Portuguese gastronomy with us, and, of course, to everyone who accompanied us on this afternoon so well spent.
