2025 Gala Dinner of the "Academia de Bacalhau de Bruxelas"

Last Saturday, 25 October, the Portuguese community in Belgium gathered for another memorable Gala Dinner at the Academia do Bacalhau in Brussels, attended by several members of the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, including President Kathleen Figueiredo Laissy and Vice-Presidents  Patricia Pereira Marques, Catia Verpoucke and Philippe Borremans, as well as Sofia Fernandes Carvalho representing  Caixa Geral de Depósitos  (one of the event's sponsors) and Joel Verpoucke (new member of the CCBP).

The event, held at the elegant Cercle Royal Gaulois in Brussels, was a true celebration of Portuguese culture, solidarity and community spirit. Amidst authentic flavours and exceptional wines from  Santos e Seixo Wines from the Douro region (through The Sol Ar, one of the event's sponsors), the evening unfolded in an atmosphere marked by friendship and generosity. This year's edition was a charity event in aid of the Afetos com Letras association, based in Guinea-Bissau.

The CCBP warmly congratulates the Academia do Bacalhau de Bruxelas — and in particular its President Amândio Maia and Vice-President Manuel Meireles — for their organisation and constant work in promoting unity and dynamism within the Portuguese community in Belgium.
