Event "Regresso à Casa de Partida" from Matinés Pensantes

On 15 April, Pestana Brussels Schuman hosted the Matinés Pensantes event "Regresso à Casa de Partida" (‘Return to the place where it all began’), an initiative organised in collaboration with The Solar and the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CCBP).

In the very heart of the European capital, Portuguese citizens and friends of Portugal who have chosen Belgium to live, work, start businesses and build a future came together. More than just a gathering, it was a precious moment.

In an age dominated by haste and the digital world, we chose something more ambitious: to create space for real conversations, genuine reunions and new human and professional connections.

Over a glass of wine, beer or water, as ideas were shared and stories of courage and ambition told, something essential was confirmed: the Portuguese community in Brussels has talent, energy and much to offer. And when it comes together, it grows.

🙏 A special thank you to Pestana Brussels Schuman for hosting this event with such quality and hospitality, and to Matinés Pensantes for the invitation to partner!

📅 Next meeting: 5 May

We will mark World Portuguese Language Day by celebrating one of Portugal’s greatest global assets: our shared language.

Because in Brussels, too, people think, create, and innovate… and speak Portuguese.
